Program Description:
The Computer Software Diploma in the Department of Computer and Information Technology was designed to meet the needs of the local labor market for the specialization. Training in this specialization is provided in five semesters, each semester lasting eighteen training weeks for a total of (1840) training hours, in addition to (490) hours of practical training in the labor market, equivalent to (83) credit hours.
This program provides training in specialized skills in: algorithms and logic, programming basics, Internet programming, database programming, software engineering, smart device programming and a number of supporting specialized courses. The trainee is also qualified to obtain professional certificates in the field of programming. Before graduation, the trainee prepares a project in which he implements the skills he was trained on during his training period.
Training is also provided in general skills in Islamic culture, Arabic language, English language, mathematics, computer applications, learning about the business world, career guidance, excellence, job behavior and communication skills.
The graduate of this program is awarded a diploma from the Department of Computer and Information Technology in the field of computer software, which is equivalent to an intermediate university degree issued by the technical college for the same specialization. It is expected that he will work in fields related to programming and developing computer software as an assistant programmer and developer of Internet technologies and other jobs related to various programming works.
